Instructor Bio

Mark Shiarla is an Information Security Consultant at SBS CyberSecurity (SBS), a company dedicated to helping organizations identify and understand cybersecurity risks to make more informed and proactive security decisions. 


Mark maintains his Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), Certified Banking Security Manager (CBSM), Certified Banking Security Technology Professional (CBSTP), and Certified Banking Incident Handler (CBIH) certifications. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Heidelberg College. 


Mark joined the SBS team in 2023, bringing with him over 20 years of IT experience in the financial services industry, holding an IT Officer role for nearly 10 years. He is proficient in all aspects of IT services and network security and has working experience with writing IT policies for a financial institution, upgrading networks, and implementing new systems.


Mark is passionate about helping customers identify potential risks that can make them more secure. His ability to adapt to changing technologies enables him to better understand and improve business processes by providing innovative technical solutions.
